Minerva Online was originally conceived as a forum to publish the research of SF State Museum Studies students and alumni. However, we welcome articles and reports from all museum professionals and students. Topics should invlove any aspect of museum studies or conservation, as well as related subjects such as historic preservation. Book, film, video, and exhibit reviews will also be considered. Interested authors should read the "Guidelines for Authors" section below. Any questions can be addressed to the Museum Studies Webmaster.


LEGAL NOTICE: Although each author's article will have a copyright notice, authors of all published articles should realize that the Internet is not a secure medium and that San Francisco State University, the editorial board members, and the webmaster are to be held harmeless in the event that the author discovers that his/her material has been misused in any way by third parties.


Guidelines for Authors

All material must be submitted on a Macintosh or PC formatted 3.5" floppy disk, in WordPerfect 5.1 or text only format. Please include a hard copy of your work. Materials will not be returned, so please do not send us the only copy in existence! Work may also be submitted as an e-mail attachment in the above format, although we prefer to have a copy on disk.

Articles submitted only on paper will NOT be considered.

Figures, diagrams and other illustrations may be included. Please submit illustrations in either JPEG or GIF format, on 3.5" floppy disc(s). Do not place figures in the paper; just indicate where in they should be placed. Please make sure individual image sizes do not exceed 50k. 

Work prepared for Minerva Online should follow the style guide of the Society for American Archaeology. Please make sure all references conform to the SAA style. To see sample citations and references, click here.
