be transferred to another term.
Fee Waiver
- Applicants may apply for a fee waiver if they have financial
need and are residents of California with U.S. citizenship or
green card status.
- Financial need is related to family income and size.
- Funds for waivers are limited, and there is no guarantee that
all those eligible will receive waivers.
Note: The application fee and policy are subject to change
without notice.
Academic Transcripts(s)
Submit official transcripts for all college-level work.
- Request a current official transcript from every postsecondary school attended, including community colleges, summer sessions, extension programs and study abroad. If transcripts do not include final grades, applicant must submit a final transcript when it is available. Failure to comply with this requirement will result in a registration hold.
- Applicants must hold or expect to hold prior to the beginning of classes a Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university. Documents should also include official evidence of the conferral of all degrees, diplomas, or professional titles showing the date of the conferral (month and year).
- Official transcripts must be in sealed envelopes as issued by the school(s) you attended.
- If the academic department to which you are applying requests to have one set of transcripts sent directly to them, send one set to the department and one set to the Division of Graduate Studies.
- Applicants who have previously applied to SFSU still must submit official transcripts of all institutions attended (excluding SFSU).
Note: Do not submit your transcripts until after you have submitted your online application. Transcripts that arrive before your application may delay the processing of your application.
