Information for International Students
The Office of Student Financial Aid recognizes the limited number of scholarships available to international students attending San Francisco State University, thus the Scholarship Team is continuing to research and identify these scholarships.
We recommend that you apply for scholarships that do not specifically state that you must be a United States citizen or permanent resident. From the scholarship database, you may find scholarships for international students for campus and outside scholarships, where the row "Citizenship" indicates "Any" from the scholarship database results. Check periodically as we continue to identify scholarships for international students.
We further recommend that you contact your college, school, and department of your field or major through their Web site at www.sfsu.edu/deptpage/acaddept.htm for possible scholarship information. Regularly, our office forwards scholarships for international students to the various colleges on campus.
For additional information and other possible scholarship opportunities for international students, please see the Office of International Program's Web site at http://www.sfsu.edu/~oip or email them at oip@sfsu.edu. You may also search for scholarships for international students at www.internationalscholarships.com (you will not need to enter a specific "host institution" for desired results).
