Data Center Operations: The mission of the Operations Department is to ensure that our campus mainframe and various operating systems continuously function without interruption and to troubleshoot any problems that may arise. Operations will continue to produce timely and accurate products and services to our clients within the various departments on campus.

Systems & Networks: The mission of Systems and Network services is to provide current, reliable and secure operating systems and network infrastructure to the university.

We install, maintain, test, secure and tune operating systems and network switching equipment. We maintain a high level of vigilance for hardware errors and for security problems. We provide e-mail, web and account services for our more that 30.000 account holders.

We work closely with our application development staff to insure that applications are installed in a secure and cost efficient manner in order to provide for acceptable response time and secure data for our customers.

Technical Services: The Technical Services Group installs, services and repairs the campus networks and peripheral hardware devices either on site or in the shop, with the objective of providing the highest level of customer satisfaction. Achieving this goal requires a wide focus of flexibility, time management, working within a budget, training and inventory while collaborating with outside contractors and University administration.
