2. The Cahill Scholarship
|
This is a tuition
only scholarship. If your fees are being paid by an agency
or by other form of financial aid, do not apply for this scholarship.
Recipients will be notified of awards in December or June,
prior to semester of award.
Fall and Spring awards available.
- Must be a student in the 4-year Integrative program;
or a Child & Adolescent major; or a multiple subject credential
candidate; or have either of above and have applied to the
M.A. in Elementary Education.
- Preference will be given students from single
parent families.
- Scholarship renewal applicants.
- If undergraduate, must have a GPA of 2.7 or higher;
credential/graduate students must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Students must enroll in at least 6 units each semester
in order to receive this scholarship.

- Must be a classified credential or classified graduate
student in Elementary
Education or Secondary Education program.
- Must have teaching as a goal and have a GPA of 3.0
or higher.
- Must be enrolled full-time during semester of award.

4. Dorothy Westby-Gibson Scholarship

- Must be a classified graduate student in Adult Education.
- Must be enrolled in at least 6 units during semester
of award.
- Must be a continuing student in the program during
the subsequent semester of the award.

5. Dorothy B. Lucas Special Education Scholarship

- Fall and Spring
awards available, one award issued each semester.
- Applicants for program admission are also eligible
to apply.
- Must be enrolled a minimum of 6 units during semester
of award.
- Must hold a GPA of 3.5 or higher.Must be (a) a classified graduate pursuing an M.A.
in Special Education, with an emphasis in Deaf/Hard of Hearing,
Early Childhood Special Education, Mild/Moderate Disabilities,
Moderate/Severe Disabilities, Orientation & Mobility,
Physical & Health Impairments, Visual Impairments, or
Vocational Special Education; or must be (b) admitted and
enrolled in an Education Specialist Credential in Deaf/Hard
of Hearing, Early Childhood Special Education, Mild/Moderate
Disabilities, Moderate/Severe Disabilities, Physical &
Health Impairments, Visual Impairments, or Clinical Rehabilitative
Services Credential in Orientation & Mobility.

11. Dorothy Misbach Fund for Preparation of Teachers of Students
with Visual Impairments
|
- Must be a California
Resident.
- Must have 3.0 GPA or better for initial award.
- Must enroll for 6 units (half-time) or 12 units (full-time)
during the semester of award.
- Continuing awards possible in consecutive semesters
with letter of intent and 3.5 GPA.
- Must be in Education Specialist Credential for Visual
Impairments program to apply.

- The applicant is not to be employed as a teacher while holding this scholarship.
- Must be enrolled in student teaching during the semester of award.
- To receive this award, the recipient must attend the CRTA Luncheon in October where the check will be presented.
- Past award recipients of this scholarship or the CRTA Laura Settle Scholarship are not eligible.
