Next time you're in a classroom, look around. Is there a TV? We put it there.
Have you seen one of those nifty electronic classrooms with the video projector and console? Our technical services department designed, built, installed and maintains them. We provide individualized training and our web site features a dedicated page with descriptions outlining the features of these classrooms, PDF instruction manuals and online Quicktime tutorials.
Do you use cablecast for video presentations? We ran the cable and set up the distribution system to every classroom on this campus. We also purchased one of the largest media collections in the CSU system for you to use.
Do you need AV equipment delivered to your class? Every piece of equipment that goes out to the classroom gets checked and cleaned before it goes back on the shelf for the next use. Does your department have an AV equipment pool (overheads and slide projectors shared by the members of your department)? Some of that is on long loan from us. Our web site provides tutorials for using many types of audio-visual equipment from overhead and slide projectors to laptops, projection systems and camcorders.
We also provide PDF delivery/pick-up and cablecast forms as well as feedback, training and equipment repair forms on our website.
Ever been to a videoconference on campus? That's us too. We also videotape classroom sessions, student presentations and special guest lecturers. We also broadcast SFSU commencement live to the city of San Francisco. We also provide much of the staff and hardware for coursestreams.
Our Photo department can make slides for you and our Graphics department can help you create teaching materials for PowerPoint, transparencies or print.
