The Academic Program Development Office performs the following functions:

Provides administrative support for the development of new academic degree programs and discontinuance of obsolete programs. |

Facilitates the development of program innovations. Current/recent examples include off-campus courses and programs (including the Caņada College/SFSU Pathways Program and the College of Marin/SFSU Partnership Program), a "weekend college", technology mediated instruction, and Summer Semester. |

|
Administers the College of Extended Learning |
|
|
Administers the Presidential Scholars Program. |
