Robert Westwood Scholarship

The intent of this scholarship is to assist SFSU students who are living with HIV and plan to make a contribution to communities affected by HIV. Contributions can be in any field, including: the arts, health sciences, social services, etc.

Amount will vary from year to year, depending on the amount in the fund..


The application procedure:
Applicant must submit:

  1. Copy of most recent SFSU academic transcript (unofficial). Applicant must be enrolled at least half-time with an SFSU GPA of at least 3.0.
  2. Verification from physician that applicant has HIV (a note on official letterhead or from SFSU Disability Resource Center is sufficient).
  3. Brief, TYPED, essay (no more than 2 pages) discussing applicant’s plans to incorporate her/his academic work and degree at SFSU with service in the HIV community or in the area of HIV prevention.
