The CSU’s more than two million alumni are a powerful force within California. They shape the state’s future through teaching, agriculture, business, and sciences. Approximately one in ten workers in the state has a CSU degree, including more than half of California's teachers and more than half of the state's legislators.

The SF State Alumni Association created the San Francisco State University Hall of Fame in 1994 in order to honor outstanding SF State alumni who have distinguished themselves with extraordinary achievements in their professional and civic endeavors, and thereby bring honor to the University.

Each year a distinguished group of SF State alumni are inducted into the Hall of Fame, including the Alum of the Year at the Hall of Fame reception, held in May during Commencement weekend. You are invited to see the photographs of these outstanding alums, along with a list of their achievements, displayed on the first floor of the J. Paul Leonard Library on campus or online here.
